AARP Forum To Attack Personal Soc. Sec. Accounts

NU Online News Service, April 2, 2004, 4:04 p.m. EST – AARP, Washington, will hold a national forum 10 a.m. tomorrow in Philadelphia on the future of Social Security.[@@]

Speakers will include Barton Fields, a representative for AARP’s national legislative council, and other AARP officials who oppose Republican proposals to carve individually managed accounts out of the Social Security retirement income program.

AARP is seeking national press coverage for the event.

The forum will take place at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue, 4200 City Ave., Philadelphia.
