AXA Financial Hires Travelers Life Distribution Exec

NU Online News Service, Nov. 25, 2003, 3:34 p.m. EST – AXA Financial, New York, has hired Laura Pantaleo to be a senior vice president and head of business development at its strategic distribution services unit, which includes AXA Distributors L.L.C., AXA Network and the broker-dealer operations of AXA Advisors.[@@]

Pantaleo will manage relationships with wire houses, broker-dealers, banks and other distributors.

Pantaleo previously was president of the annuity distributors business at Travelers Life & Annuity, Hartford, a unit of Citigroup Inc., New York. From 1995 to 2000, she was responsible for the distribution of life products and the delivery of estate planning services through the estate and trust services division at Smith Barney, New York.

AXA Financial is a unit of AXA S.A., Paris.
