NU Online News Service, Nov. 10, 2003, 5:59 p.m. EST – Big employers continue to increase their use of the Web in human resources administration, according to results of an informal survey conducted by Towers Perrin, New York.

When Towers Perrin researchers polled human resources executives from about 180 large multinational employers, they found that 90% of the employers will be offering annual benefits enrollment through the Web by the end of 2004, up from 73% at the beginning of 2003.

By the end of 2004, half of the employers will depend almost entirely on Web enrollment, Towers Perrin says.

Towers Perrin researchers also found that the percentage of employers who let employees change personal data on the Web might increase to 89% by the end of 2004, up from 66% earlier this year.
