John Alden Adds Flexible Health Plan For Small Employers

NU Online News Service, Oct. 9, 2003, 3:53 p.m. EST – John Alden Life Insurance Company, Milwaukee, has introduced John Alden Options, a health benefits program for employers with two to 50 employees.

The program lets employers customize major medical benefits, decide whether to include prescription benefits and alternative medicine discounts, and combine health coverage with health financing arrangements such as medical savings accounts, health reimbursement arrangements and flexible spending accounts.

John Alden will start by distributing the program in Illinois, Michigan, Oklahoma and Virginia through its North Star Marketing unit. The program will be available with effective dates of Nov. 1.

John Alden is a unit of Fortis Health, which is part of Fortis, Brussels.
