NU Online News Service, May 21, 2003, 10:43 a.m. EDT – Aetna Inc., Hartford, has hired David Entrekin to be a vice president in charge of its investor relations operation.

Entrekin succeeds Dennis Oakes, who has been in charge of investor relations for two years. Oakes “will assume another position within Aetna following a transition period,” Aetna says.

Entrekin previously was the chief financial officer in the retirement services division at American General Corp., Houston, a unit of American International Group Inc., New York. Entrekin ran American General’s investor relations department from 1996 to 2001.

Entrekin has a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree from the University of Texas.
