NU Online News Service, April 25, 2003, 11:15 a.m. EDT – MetLife Inc., New York, has redesigned its Web-based benefits-management system.

The company has added a feature, a MyAccounts section, that tries to give employees clear, personalized information about their benefits options and selections, the company says.

Other new features include a library of downloadable forms and message boxes that MetLife and employers can use to send employees messages about their benefits.

A survey that MetLife sponsored found that 44% of employers are now delivering benefits through the Web, up from 30% in 2001.

MetLife reports that 800 employers are offering its MyBenefits service to 6 million people, up from 55 employers and 1.2 million employees in 2001.
