Guardian Hires CFO

NU Online News Service, July 16, 11:10 a.m. – The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, says it has hired Robert Broatch to be its new executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Broatch succeeds Peter Hutchings, the previous CFO, who retired in December 2001.

Broatch has been the chief financial officer of the U.S. arm of GAB Robins Inc., London, an insurance services company. Before that, he was CFO at UnumProvident Corp., Portland, Maine.

Broatch has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Trinity College and a master’s degree in finance from Dartmouth College. He holds the Certified Public Accountant professional designation.
