Benefit Partners Upgrades Broker Site

NU Online News Service, May 21, 3:21 p.m. – Jefferson Pilot Benefit Partners, Omaha, Neb., has added tools for completing online claims reports and handling electronic broker commission payments to its Web site.

The site, introduced in July 2001, serves 4,200 employer groups and 260 brokers. It has already handled 118,500 member changes, bill draws, bill payments, claims submissions and other transactions, Benefit Partners reports.

Benefit Partners says it is also preparing to launch an electronic application that will allow employer groups to apply for group coverage online. The electronic application will be available in the fall, the company says.
