MetLife Unit Offers Brochure For Unemployed

NU Online News Service, Sept. 6, 10:24 a.m. –The Consumer Education Center, a unit of MetLife Inc., New York, says it is giving away copies of its “Losing a Job” brochure.

The brochures gives suggestions for negotiating a severance package, maintaining health coverage, filing for unemployment benefits, and researching the mechanics of rolling over funds in retirement savings plans.

The MetLife center developed the brochure with the National Foundation for Unemployment and Workers Compensation, Washington.

Consumers can get the brochure by calling 1-800-638-5433.
