South Carolina Resident Auctioning Off 1867 Life Insurance Manual

NU Online News Service, July 20, 2:15 p.m. – EBay Inc., San Jose, Calif., is hosting an auction for a life insurance training manual published in 1867.

The 153-page book, The Agent’s Manual of Life Insurance, was published by Wynkoop & Hallenbeck, New York.

The Westville, S.C., resident who is selling the book has set a minimum price of $9.99, and bidding is scheduled to end July 23.

So far, no one has submitted a bid.

Some of the 93 other life insurance-related collectibles available on eBay this week include a 1958 post card showing the Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters of the Afro-American Life Insurance Company, which has a minimum price of $1.25 and no bids; an antique lighter from Crown Life Insurance Company, Toronto, which has a minimum price of $75 and no bids; and a 1950s electric advertising clock from Kansas City Life Insurance Company, Kansas City, Mo., which has a minimum price of $49.99 and no bids.
