NU Online News Service, July 3, 4:20 p.m. – AFLAC Inc., Columbus, Ga., is now running television commercials featuring the AFLAC duck in Japan to promote the company’s new Japanese accident policies.
AFLAC is also contributing some of the proceeds from the sale of stuffed AFLAC toy ducks to the AFLAC Parents House, a residential facility for families of critically ill children who are undergoing medical treatment in Tokyo.
The Kaplan Thaler Group, New York, created the original U.S. version of the campaign. Dentsu, a Japanese ad agency, will help introduce the commercial in Japan. Kaplan and Dentsu are both subsidiaries of Bcom3.
