NU Online News Service, June 6, 10:15 a.m. – SunAmerica Inc., Los Angeles, is introducing a new retirement planning advertising campaign tonight during the first game of the NBA Championships.
The three commercials in the campaign all feature a character named “Retirement.” One spot asks viewers, “How safe is your retirement plan?”, the second, “Are you neglecting your retirement plan?”, and the third, “How hard is your retirement plan working?”
Each spot ends with the narrator assuring the viewer that “SunAmerica can help. Just ask your financial advisor. SunAmerica, The Retirement Specialist.’”
The commercials will air during the NBA Championships, the French Open, Belmont Stakes, the U.S. Open Golf Tournament and Wimbledon, SunAmerica says.
The commercials will also appear on national cable networks such as CNN, CNBC and A&E
SunAmerica, a subsidiary of American International Group, says it hopes the campaign will make baby boomers?adults born between 1945 and 1964?think about retirement planning.
Deutsch Inc., Los Angeles, a subsidiary of the Interpublic Group, produced the campaign.
