American Express Combines General And Retirement Financial Education Programs

NU Online News Service, June 6, 4:05 p.m. – American Express Financial Advisors Inc., Minneapolis, is combining the educational programs from its retirement services unit with its general financial education programs.

A new unit, Financial Education & Planning Services, will run all American Express financial education programs.

American Express reorganized the educational programs so that it can give workers who are using its retirement planning services more information about other financial services, the company says.

The program can help employees with complicated topics such as executive compensation and employee stock options, as well as basic retirement plan education, American Express says.

American Express Retirement Services and a sister company, American Express Trust Company, manage $33 billion in assets for 1.2 million retirement plan members. ?She companies are subsidiaries of the American Express Company, New York.
