Atria Division Signs Wealth Management Deal With Harvard Credit Union

CUSO Financial Services will provide tools including a portal and app.

Atria Wealth Solutions subsidiary CUSO Financial Services signed a multiyear deal with Harvard University Employees Credit Union to provide wealth management services to HUECU members, the firms said Tuesday in a joint announcement.

The news came only about a week after CFS said it signed a multiyear agreement with Mobiloil Credit Union that gave its members access to Atria’s Clear1 portal and mobile app.

About a month ago, Atria said it signed a definitive deal to acquire Rockville, Maryland-based independent wealth manager Grove Point Financial from Kestra Holdings.

The Harvard credit union exclusively serves the university’s staff, students and alumni, Harvard teaching hospitals and other affiliated organizations. The credit union, established in 1939, manages over $1 billion in assets and serves more than 52,000 members.

CFS provides financial institutions with a product platform, practice management resources and a variety of tools, including the Clear1 portal and mobile app, which CFS said provides real-time data and home banking integration.

Those solutions and services “drive scale and create efficiencies so credit unions and banks are positioned to grow and best serve their members,” according to CFS, which offers four program models.

Harvard credit union members have been requesting expanded financial services, and CFS “has a proven track record in the industry when it comes to implementing wealth management programs for credit unions,” according to Craig Leonard, CEO and president of the credit union.

“CFS’ expertise in building and growing wealth management programs from the ground up was a primary driver in our decision to partner with them,” Tom Montilli, the credit union’s chief experience officer, said in a statement.

“The ability to expand our credit union’s digital presence was also an important factor,” according to Montilli. “We wanted to keep our brand front and center and at the same time, offer the personalized support and solutions that our members expect. We found all that and more through CFS.”
