NAFA Brings Industry Groups Together for Annuity Awareness

Both Finseca and NAIFA are on the list of supporting organizations.

The National Association for Fixed Annuities is helping to make this month the second annual National Annuity Awareness Month.

NAFA worked with other members of an annuity support group, the Coalition for Annuity Awareness, to organize the first awareness month outreach campaign in June 2021.

Chuck DiVencenzo, NAFA’s president, said NAFA started the effort because of the overwhelming financial and economic uncertainties Americans face, and their need to build lifetime income solutions into comprehensive retirement plans.

The list of organizations supporting this year’s campaign includes two that have been competing for financial advisors’ attention in other spheres: Finseca and the National Association of Insurance Financial Advisors.

The supporting organizations list also includes the American Council of Life Insurers, the Alliance for Lifetime Income, the Indexed Annuity Leadership Council and the Insured Retirement Institute.

The coalition is offering supporters an annuity awareness toolkit and other programming.

NAFA will contribute by hosting a webinar on why consumers’ are discovering today’s fixed annuities June 22. The scheduled speaker is Harry N. Stout, a ThinkAdvisor blogger.
