What You Need to Know

  • The new Tifin Grow platform was designed to help wealth managers grow their businesses through personalization.
  • EMoney Advisor founder Edmond Walters joins the board of advisors at fintech firm YieldX.
  • Refinitiv expanded its collaboration with Microsoft by introducing AI Alerts in Microsoft Teams.

Tifin’s wealthtech division, Tifin Wealth, launched the new Tifin Grow platform for advisors, the fintech firm said Tuesday.

The new platform was designed to help wealth managers grow their businesses through personalization at scale, the company said.

Tifin Grow combines several capabilities from Tifin’s existing platform — risk profiling, micro-planning, Financial Personality, Next Best Action and trading automation — with new capabilities and the features can be used by advisors in modular fashion or by combining them, Tifin said.

The modules include: Tifin Risk (offering investment personalization through risk), Tifin Plan (investment personalization through plans), Tifin Personality (investment personalization through financial personality) and Tifin Prioritize (an insights engine to prioritize prospects).

Tifin Grow will “enable financial advisors to better know and convert their prospects,” the company said. The new platform will also offer advisors the ability to prioritize prospects based on Tifin’s centralized data intelligence.

EMoney Advisor Founder Joins YieldX Board

Edmond Walters, the founder of eMoney Advisor and Apprise Labs, has joined the board of advisors at fintech firm YieldX.

Walters will play a key role in building out YieldX’s operations, advising on and helping to “further differentiate the disruptive tools YieldX has brought to market and setting tangible goals for the company’s next evolution,” YieldX said Wednesday.

“With a unique background as both a fintech founder and financial advisor, Walters deeply understands the challenges modern advisors have ahead of them,” YieldX said.

The latest venture by Walters is Villanova Tech, another advisor-facing technology platform that YieldX said provides tools for advisors with business owner clients to gain insights on operational data to help with succession planning.

The new board member addition comes after a year of innovation and growth initiatives at YieldX that included closing on an $18 million Series A funding round and forging strategic partnerships with Envestnet and DriveWealth.

Soon, advisors and wealth managers using Envestnet’s platform will gain one-click access to YieldX Apps that streamline workflows to build and optimize yield portfolios through single sign-on integration, YieldX said.

Refinitiv Expands Microsoft Collaboration

Refinitiv has expanded its collaboration with Microsoft by introducing AI Alerts, a market-data powered intelligent assistant available in Microsoft Teams.

Refinitiv AI Alerts provides personalized, timely and actionable market insights for advisors and other financial professionals, in collaboration with ModuleQ, a company that specializes in human-centered artificial intelligence.

Refinitiv first announced its collaboration with Microsoft for financial services in 2020.

Refinitiv AI Alerts requests user permission to automatically learn the user’s individual priorities from their Microsoft 365 interactions, keeps that information private for the user, and recommends suggested content based on upcoming meetings and frequent email conversations, Refinitiv said.

The AI “learns quickly” which information the advisor or other professional using it finds useful, allowing it to become more accurate and relevant, according to Refinitiv.

AllianceBernstein Partners With Vestmark

Asset management firm AllianceBernstein announced a new partnership with Vestmark, a provider of wealth management solutions and services for financial advisors and institutions.

The new partnership leverages AB’s municipal technology, AbbieOptimizer, to bring a new Custom Municipal SMA Solutions platform to market, the companies said in a joint announcement.

AbbieOptimizer integrates research, pricing, trading and portfolio construction into one system that streamlines the design of customized muni strategies, the companies said.

Via the partnership with Vestmark, advisors and clients can now create customized muni solutions through AbbieOptimizer’s capabilities, they said.

Zoe Teams With Pure Financial Advisors

San Diego, California-based RIA Pure Financial Advisors has joined the Zoe Advisor Network, a digital wealth platform that connects clients with financial advisors.

The latest addition was made after a lengthy vetting process by Zoe, it said.

Pure Financial Advisors, founded in 2007 by Michael Fenison, serves 3,400 clients and managed about $4 billion in assets as of Jan. 31.

The RIA’s main focus is providing comprehensive retirement planning services and tax-optimized investment management. But it also offers support in other areas of financial planning, including cash flow analysis, pension and Social Security claiming strategies, risk management, insurance analysis and estate planning.
