Goldman Adds Executive From Schwab

Cynthia Loh has joined Goldman Sachs as a managing director and head of product management for the firm’s Personal Financial Management Group, the company said in an internal memo.

In the role, Loh will work closely with Goldman Sachs business leads and engineering teams to help it “continue to innovate and evolve our platform to better serve both our advisors and clients,” according to the memo.

Loh has almost 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She previously served as vice president of digital advice and innovation at Charles Schwab, which she joined in September 2017, according to her LinkedIn profile.

At Schwab, she led the teams responsible for: Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Premium, its robo advisory and hybrid advisory and planning services; Schwab Asset Management Solutions’ digital organization, the digital product arm of its asset management business; and Schwab Retirement Plan Services, the digital product arm of its 401(k) business.

Prior to Schwab, Loh was a general manager at Betterment for Business from 2015-2017. She has an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from University of California at Berkeley.

Loh will report to Larry Restieri and Joe Duran, co-heads of PFMG, and Irfan Hussain, chief information officer of consumer and wealth management.

“We are excited to add someone with Cynthia’s depth of experience to our management team to help us build a state-of-the-art financial advice platform,” the three executives said in the memo about the latest organizational change.
