Consulting Firm FP Transitions Adds TD Ameritrade, FPA Veterans

The additions also include a former executive of E-Trade and Fidelity.

Consulting firm FP Transitions added executives to its team who earlier worked for TD Ameritrade and the Financial Planning Association, as well as an executive who worked for firms including E-Trade and Fidelity Investments, the Lake Oswego, Oregon-based company said on Monday.

Each of the executives “brings extensive industry experience and a valuable perspective to the ever-growing” team at FPT, which provides valuation, succession planning and practice equity growth services to firms in the financial services industry, it said.

Scott Leak, a certified financial planner who was named senior consultant, joins FPT after more than two decades at TD Ameritrade, where he helped build what became TD Ameritrade Institutional. He most recently served as director of institutional sales for TD Ameritrade Institutional, from June 2016 until joining FPT last month, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Leak joined TD Ameritrade in 1999 as a new account sales rep, before being promoted to the positions of account manager, sales vice president and senior sales manager.

He will work with Marcus Hagood, who leads FPT’s Equity Management Solutions team. This represents a reunion for the them after they both started their careers and worked together at TD Ameritrade.

Jessica Flynn, meanwhile, was named communications director. She joins FPT after nearly a decade with the FPA, where she most recently served as the managing director of strategic partnerships. She joined the FPA in 2011 as RIA marketing manager, before being promoted to roles that included manager of strategic alliances, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Also, Eric Godes was named FPT senior vice president. He joins FPT with more than three decades of experience running wealth management firms, most recently at Daintree Advisors as its executive strategist, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Before that, he worked for firms including E-Trade, as director of wealth management from December 2005 until February 2011, and Fidelity, as sales professional from September 1983 until June 1985.
