Dynasty Financial Partners has appointed John Sullivan to lead Network Development nationwide for the firm. Sullivan, who joined the RIA platform provider eight years ago, recently was head of Network Development for the Central Division.

The news comes about six weeks after Dynasty hired Joseph D’Agostino of WestEnd Advisors as its head of strategic development. D’Agostino worked earlier for American Century Investments and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

“Having worked with John for over two decades between our time together at Citi/Smith Barney and Dynasty, I’m thrilled to have John moving into this expanded role at Dynasty, said Dynasty President and CEO Shirl Penney, in a statement.

The firm’s platform is used by 50 RIA firms with some $50 billion in assets.

“The industry’s movement toward independence is accelerating unabated…,” according to Sullivan. “We have the most comprehensive offering for independent advisors in the space and have recently expanded our network development team in anticipation of our continued growth.”

Before joining Dynasty in 2012, Sullivan spent more than 20 years at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and Citigroup.
