Protective Life To Eliminate 6 Physical Offices
The company will continue to have physical offices in Birmingham, Cincinnati and St. Louis.
Protective Life Corp. says it’s one of the life insurers that will be de-emphasizing physical, brick-and-mortar offices.
Protective is a Birmingham, Alabama-based subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings of Tokyo.

Protective says it will be keeping physical offices in Birmingham, Cincinnati and St. Louis but closing six other physical offices.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic began, about 19% of Protective employees were based outside of traditional physical offices.
Since social distancing rules took effect about 95% of employees have been working from home.
Protective classifies about 40% of the company’s current overall workforce as “full-time virtual workforce.”
The physical offices closing are in Bannockburn, Illinois; Brentwood, Tennessee; Denver; Elgin, Illinois; Fort Lauderdale, Florida.; and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
