Legal & General America Names a Senior VP of Sales: Personnel Matters

Legal & General America has hired Jennifer Torneden to be vice president of sales and strategic growth.

She previously was senior vice president, regional sales director, at Aon Affinity.

Torneden has also worked as a senior vice president, regional sales director, at Zurich.

Torneden has a bachelor’s degree in finance from George Mason University and a master’s degree in business from Columbia University.

Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto, has hired Laura Money to be executive vice president and chief information officer.

Money previously was senior vice president and chief information officer for corporate center technology at CIBC, a Canadian bank.

Money succeeds Mark Saunders, who is retiring.

She has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in business from INSEAD.

CUNA Mutual Group, Madison, Wisconsin, has hired Julie Winslow to be senior manager, head of internal sales, for its annuity national sales division.

Winslow previously was a vice president and branch manager at Charles Schwab.

She also has worked as an assistant vice president and internal wholesaler at Transamerica.

She has a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a master’s degree in business from the University of Colorado at Denver.

NorthStar Life Services LLC, an Irvine, California-based life settlement advisory firm, has hired Tara Bing to be director of client services.

Bing previously was a client services manager and director of operations at AVS Group LLC.

Bing has a bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and a master’s degree in business from Georgia State University.
