With a growing number of advisors and clients hunkering down due to the coronavirus epidemic, TD Ameritrade Institutional is hosting a weekly series of free webcasts focused on topics like market volatility and business continuity planning through April 29.

“We’re all faced with disruption to our business and personal lives, and so we want to make it easier for advisors to stay informed while staying close to home,” said TD Ameritrade Institutional President Tom Nally in a statement.

The events kick off at 4 p.m. Wednesday with a webcast focused on the coronavirus, “Making Sense of COVID-19: Current Evidence and Best Practices,” led by Dr. Bill Lloyd, health director at Transamerica. The physician will discuss how advisors can best protect themselves, cope with anxiety at their firms and speak with clients.

Other events will focus on stress management (March 25), portfolio protection and repair in times of high volatility (April 1), business continuity planning in turbulent times (April 8), how advisors can best engage with clients online (April 22), and what practice-management strategies can help advisors pursue different opportunities in the current crisis (April 29).

“In challenging times, we need to step up and help one another. We want to do all we can to minimize the impact of the coronavirus epidemic for advisors and their clients,” Nally said.
