CFP Board Closing Exam Sites
Those registered for CFP exams over the next month will be rescheduled for the July exam.
The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards is closing its testing sites for at least 30 days due to the coronavirus.
Those registered for exams during this period will be rescheduled at no cost for the July CFP exam, set to be given from July 7-14.
“The CFP Board will follow up with all affected individuals after registration opens for the July exam,” it said in an announcement.
The group’s exam administrator, Prometric, says it made the decision to shut down the testing centers in North America “to protect the health and well-being of staff and clients during the COVID-19 outbreak.”
“While we regret the inconvenience this will cause, CFP Board supports this decision to help protect public health,” explained CFP Board CEO Kevin Keller, in a statement. “We will do all we can to minimize any disruptions as candidates pursue certification.”
