An employer may be able to offer a plan on a simplified-issue basis with three covered lives, and on a guaranteed-issue basis with five covered lives.

The product provides an accelerated death benefit feature for insureds who develop a terminal illness.

Other features include a funeral cost benefits payment acceleration feature, and a first-responder benefits rider. The first-responder benefits rider pays an extra benefit if a death occurs while the insured is working as a first responder.

The coverage is now available in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and the District of Columbia.

Aflac writes life insurance products through American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus and American Family Life Assurance Company of New York.
