LICONY completed a three-day annual meeting and planning conference in Cooperstown, New York, earlier this month.

About 130 senior-level executives, general counsels and government affairs professionals from New York state life insurers attended the conference, LICONY says.

The list of speakers included Susan Neely of the American Council of Life Insurers; Linda Lacewell, the New York Department of Financial Services superintendent; New York state Sen. Neil Breslin, D-Albany, who is the chair of the New York state Senate Insurance Committee; and Assemblyman Kevin Cahill, D-Catskill, who is the chair of the Assembly Standing Committee on Insurance.

Mary Griffin, LICONY’s president, also spoke at the conference.

LICONY’s latest Form 990 filing available at FoundationCenter.org, for 2018, shows LICONY reported a $1.9 million operating gain for that year on $4.8 million in revenue and $6 million in total assets.

The group had 60 member companies, 21 associate members and 22 allied professional members.
