Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company is moving its Midtown Manhattan offices to a new location that’s about four blocks away.

MassMutual recently signed a 10-year lease for 22,000 square feet of space at Marx Realty’s 10 Grand Central building, near Grand Central Station.

MassMutual will be relocating the offices there from 200 Park Ave., which is commonly known as the MetLife Building.

The new offices will take up the entire 12th floor of 10 Grand Central, which was designed by Ely Jacques-Kahn and completed in 1931.

Marx Realty announced a $48 million renovation of the 35-story, 500,000-square-foot building about a year ago. Since then, tenants have signed leases for about 160,000 square feet of space in the building.

MassMutual’s neighbors will include Everside Capital Partners, Benenson Capital Partners, Macro Risk Advisors and White Oak Partners, as well as news media, film production, fintech and private equity firms.

Asking rents for the tower range from $72 to $120 per square foot.

David Burns, principal of Studios Architecture has led the property’s redesign efforts. Howard Hersch, Sam Seiler, Brett Harvey and Cynthia Wasserberger of JLL are handling the leasing for Marx Realty.

Marx Realty recently secured a $140 million loan to refinance the project. MetLife originated the loan.
