Maryland to Hold Public Hearing on 3 LTCI Issuers' Rate Hike Requests

The Maryland Insurance Administration plans to hold a public hearing on three long-term care insurers’ rate increase requests at 9 a.m. Tuesday, in Baltimore.
The agency will provide public audio of the hearing through a conference call line, and through a live web stream on its Facebook page.

The carriers are the Prudential Insurance Company of America, which is a unit of Prudential Financial Inc.; Manulife Financial Corp.’s John Hancock Life Insurance Company unit; and Unum Group’s Unum Life Insurance Company of America unit.
