The governance committee at the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) has nominated Tom Michel to be the group’s secretary for the 2018-2019 term.

NAIFA plans to hold its officer elections in September, at its annual conference in San Antonio.

The nomination makes it likely that Michel could be NAIFA’s president in a few years. NAIFA members usually approve the nominees proposed by the governance committee. Secretaries typically rise up a rank each year — to treasurer, president-elect, and then president.
