Managers of the National Advisory Center for Long-Term Care Information (NALTCI) have named the first four members of the center’s advisory council.

The center provides information about long-term care (LTC) needs and LTC planning at longtermcareinsurance.org

Genworth Financial Inc. (NYSE:GNW), a company that sells private long-term care insurance (LTCI) and other LTC planning products, started the center to increase consumer LTC planning literacy.

The advisory council members are Sally Abrahms, a caregiver who blogs about issues affecting baby boomers; Jennifer Hatch, an investment advisor at Christopher Street Financial; Dr. Barbara Nusbaum, a psychologist and money coach; and Dr. Bradley Willcox, a scientist who studies the biology of aging at the Pacific Health Research & Education Institute.

Nusbaum recently gave a talk at a Genworth LTC awareness news conference about ways to have better conversations about financial issues with relatives.

Willcox has worked to identify genetic factors that may help some people live past age 100.
