A state with a slow-starting public exchange program is replacing its executive director.
Coral Andrews will be leaving her post as head of the Hawai’i Health Connector Dec. 6, and Tom Matsuda, who has been in charge of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act implementation in Hawaii, will be the interim executive director.
Andrews has had a two-year contract, and she has decided not to renew it.
The state is looking for a permanent executive director, and Matsuda will not be a candidate for that post, officials said.
