Arizona firefighter's widow may fight city over benefits

The widow of one of the men who died fighting a wildfire this summer has been denied her husband’s lifetime benefits. Juliann Ashcraft has four small children to raise, and Prescott, Ariz., where the “hotshots” team was based, denied her attempts to collect her late husband’s benefits because he was considered a seasonal employee. Only six members of 19 members who died after the Yarnell Hill Fire trapped them were classified as full-time.
