The accelerating recovery of American wealth

Last week the St. Louis Fed reported that Americans had recouped less than half of the wealth they lost during the recession. Updated numbers, which include the first quarter of 2013, came out this week and they show that we have now recovered 62 percent of our lost wealth. That value is not just from rising stock prices which tend to disproportionately help this wealthy, home values are rising, too. Let’s just hope it is not another bubble.
