LeRoy Carhart, who has been chronicled by Newsweek and has also been the subject of a film screened at Sundance, has publicly stated that he will only perform late-term abortions when there is a complication with the pregnancy, but the legality of his stance differs from state to state. Carhart, who bears his name in two separate Supreme Court decisions, has said publicly that he personally draws the line at 24 weeks but was caught on camera saying something completely different. The Kermit Gosnell trial has put abortion rights back in the spotlight and Americans are getting uncomfortably close to some of the abortion industry’s devious practices.
