Hiring veterans is good business. So why don't we do it more often?

Everybody knows that veterans have great skillsets that should make them ideal business hires, and yet veterans are currently showing worse employment rates than the rest of their peers. Whisky tango foxtrot? The problem might be the difference in military parlance — a language unto itself, really — and business parlance — also a language unto itself. Returning vets simply face a serious re-adjustment period before they can dive right into business. But once they do, they often prove themselves to be a great hire. Go-getters, adaptable to change, used to adversity … sounds like they’d all make great producers, no?
