With the fiscal cliff looming, Americans are less confident in their economic outlook. According to a recent Gallup poll, 42 percent of Americans said the economy is getting better while 53 percent said it is not, resulting in a net score of -11, down from -5 the previous week. That downward trend is occurring even as unemployment plummeted to its lowest level since the recession began. However, with the fiscal cliff yet to be resolved, Americans may see the future as cloudy.
