The GOP National Convention, scheduled for Aug. 27-30 in Tampa, Fla., has been in planning for more than a year, but could have an unexpected guest: Hurricane Isaac. As of Thursday, the storm was 250 miles southeast of Puerto Rico, producing 40 mph winds, but forecasters predict Isaac could be gusting between 74 mph and 95 mph by the start of the convention. No stranger to hurricanes, Florida has contingency plans in place to minimize any convention disruption should Isaac turn into a worst-case scenario.
