Bankers Life and Casualty Company will be giving $420,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association this year, up 8.8% from the 2011 total.
Bankers Life, Chicago, has been organizing annual Forget Me Not Days fundraising campaigns for the Chicago-based association since 2003.
The company sends employees, agents and other volunteers to seek donations from passersby, and it also makes corporate donations.
The volunteers collected $320,000 in donations this year from locations in 170 U.S. cities, up from $286,000 in donations in 150 cities in 2011.
