During an interview on Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, discussed as a GOP vice presidential possibility, said he is “not discussing the vice-presidential process anymore.” ABC News reported that Rubio was not being vetted by the Romney camp, but Romney himself said the senator was in the mix as a potential running mate. On the same program a year ago, Rubio said he had no interest in becoming vice president and wanted to remain a senator. In response to a question about that comment, Rubio said Sunday, “I made the decision two months ago not to discuss it any further.” The junior senator declined to say if there was anything in his background that would disqualify him from being vice president.
