Baird said Wednesday that it had hired two teams of financial advisors from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (MS) and Wells Fargo Advisors (WFC) in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with more than $340 million in combined assets under management.

“We are very pleased to welcome both of these high caliber teams to Baird and further grow the firm’s presence in North Texas,” said Jarrett Kovics, senior vice president and branch manager of Baird’s Dallas and Fort Worth offices, in a press release. “We couldn’t be more thrilled that they have chosen to continue their distinguished careers and provide exceptional service to clients at Baird.”

The Grant Halliday Group will be based in Dallas and includes advisors Neil E. Grant and Luke Halliday, formerly with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

Joining Baird in Fort Worth is the HG Group, including advisors George Gamez and Jim Hazel, CFP, both formerly of Wells Fargo Advisors.

Milwaukee-based Baird says it has added more than 225 advisors and branch managers to its private wealth management group since the beginning of 2009, the vast majority of whom are industry veterans.

Last month, Baird hired seven financial advisors with a total of about $717 million in assets under management from Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo and two other firms. The advisors join the firm in California, Colorado, Oregon and Utah.
