Don Goldmann has been elected secretary of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).

Goldmann is vice president of Word & Brown University for Word & Brown Insurance Administrators and a current member of the NAHU board of trustees. He is also a past president of the California Association of Health Underwriters.

As secretary, Goldmann will join the national NAHU board of trustees’ executive committee and move up the chairs each of the coming years, becoming NAHU president in 2015.

“Every day NAHU members help millions of clients who are struggling to balance their desire to purchase high-quality, comprehensive health coverage with the reality of rapidly escalating medical care costs,” Goldmann says. “As healthcare becomes more complicated and new questions arise under healthcare reform, our role becomes even greater as we help guide people through the complexities of health insurance purchasing and enrollment, while ensuring they get the best policy at the most affordable price.”
