The Life Insurance Settlement Association has hired Darwin Bayston to be executive director.
Bayston will succeed Doug Head, who is retiring, according to Russel Dorsett, the president of the board of LISA, Orlando, Fla.
Bayston previously was director of consulting at AVS Underwriting L.L.C., Kennesaw, Ga., a company that provides longevity projections on policyholders seeking to sell policies. He also has been managing director of Life Settlement Consulting & Management L.L.C., Kennesaw.
