Davidson to Lead American College

The financial services school that runs the Chartered Life Underwriter professional designation program has a new top trustee.

The board of trustees of the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pa., has elected Michael Davidson chairman.

Davidson, who earned the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from the college in 1993, is the vice chairman and chief agency and marketing officer at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, Bloomington, Ind.

Davidson began his career with State Farm in 1978 as an agent in Richmond, Mo.

Davidson is now chief agency and marketing officer for 3 State Farm life company units as well as for the parent company.

The American College is a nonprofit college that focuses on financial services.
