Guardian Rolls Out New York Small Group DI Product

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has introduced a disability insurance program aimed at New York state employers with fewer than 50 employees.

Employers can use the product to satisfy New York disability insurance requirements, according to Guardian, New York.

The Guardian New York State Disability Law program provides a maximum weekly benefit of $700 for up to 26 weeks for companies with 10 to 49 employees, and a maximum weekly benefit of $500 for up to 26 weeks for companies with 2 to 9 employees.

For businesses with 50 or more employees, the program provides a weekly benefit of up to $750 per week for up to 52 weeks.
