Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. will be offering retirement plan customers the ability to offer several investment funds managed using religious screens and other types of ethical screens.

Hartford Financial, Hartford (NYSE:HIG), says the manager of some of the funds will use Catholic screens, and another will use secular screens that include “leadership in environmental concerns, diversity in the work force, progressive employment and workplace practices, and community relations.”

Hartford also will offer a fund run by a “biblically based mutual fund group” that avoids investing in companies that are involved in practices that managers believe to be contrary to Judeo-Christian principles.
