Mathas To Address Executive Conference

Summit Business Media, the company that owns National Underwriter Life & Health, will hold the 20th Annual Executive Conference for the Life Insurance Industry Nov. 5-6 in New York.

The Executive Conference for the Life Insurance Industry gives senior-level life industry professionals an opportunity to engage in conversation and exchange ideas with top executives from leading insurance companies and other financial institutions, as well as insurance commissioners, government officials and key industry analysts.

Ted Mathas, chairman of New York Life Insurance Company, New York, has agreed to deliver the keynote address.

Another highlight will be a special address by Donna Kinnaird, president of Swiss Re Life & Health America, Armonk, N.Y., on risk, priority initiatives, and growth opportunities in the life insurance industry.

A panel of chief financial officers — Richard Carbone, of Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J.; Michael Sproule of New York Life; and Giulio Terzariol of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Golden Valley, Minn. — will share their thoughts on the future of financial performance measurement.

There also will be presentations on the future of state and federal regulation, healthcare reform, mergers & acquisitions, product development and accounting tax issues.
