The board of Sammons Enterprises Inc. has named Michael Masterson chief executive officer.
Masterson has been chairman of Sammons Financial Group, Chicago, a financial services division of Sammons Enterprises, Dallas, and he will continue to hold that title, according to Sammons Enterprises.
Robert Korba has been and continues to be the chairman of Sammons Enterprises.
Masterson has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and LIMRA Leadership Institute Fellow professional designations. He also has served on the boards of LIMRA International, Windsor, Conn., and the American Council of Life Insurers, Washington.

Erlandson previously was a director of Taft-Hartley relationship management at Putnam Investments, Boston.
