Sue Ericksen Joins New York Life as Chief Technology Officer

New York Life Insurance Company, New York, N.Y., has announced that Sue Ericksen has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of the Corporate Information Department.

In this role, Ericksen is responsible for New York Life’s information technology vision, strategy and planning, overseeing the Enterprise Architecture and Engineering division in the Corporate Information Department.

Prior to joining New York Life, she served as chief technology officer at Merrill Lynch Banks where she was responsible for all Information Technology services in support of Merrill Lynch’s U.S. Banks. Before that, Ericksen held a number of executive positions at Citigroup, including chief technology officer for CitiCards and chief information officer for CitiFinancial. As chief information officer, she was responsible for all information technology services in support of a 2,400 multi-national branch network.

Ericksen holds a B.A. degree from Mount Saint Mary’s College in California and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado. She resides in Bristol, PA.
