AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, New York, has announced that Eric Lhomond has been promoted to the position of senior vice president. The appointment was confirmed during a Board of Directors meeting held May 21.

“The strength of a company is defined now more than ever by the make-up of its leadership team, and I congratulate Eric on this achievement,” said Christopher M. “Kip” Condron, chairman and chief executive officer of AXA Equitable. “He has been a strong contributor for many years, and I personally look forward to his ongoing contributions to the organization.”

Eric Lhomond is the head of AXA Equitable’s Hedging Programs Management, where he is responsible for managing the company’s hedging programs, supervising trade activity, and developing and implementing its hedging strategies. Lhomond, who reports to Richard Dziadzio, executive vice president and chief financial officer for AXA Equitable, joined the company in 2000 as a financial analyst.

Before joining AXA Equitable, Lhomond worked in senior finance positions for several companies in Paris.
