When it comes to service from their custodians, advisors want accurate, timely information, but they also want a partner with integrity. In fact, when asked to pick the top service characteristic from a menu of choices, advisors picked integrity above all else. Those are some of the top-level findings from an online study conducted on behalf of Schwab Institutional through a third party research firm of 24 of its “Best Managed Firms” in late March and early April. One respondent put it succinctly: “Honesty and integrity are traits most valued by our clients. In turn, we expect the same from our custodian.”
