The House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday morning to discuss regulatory measures for consumer financial products.
The hearing is entitled “Regulatory Restructuring: Enhancing Consumer Financial Products Regulation.” Among other noted panelists, a number of insurance and financial industry experts will testify. They include Ralph Tyler, commissioner, Maryland Insurance Administration on behalf of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners; Gary Hughes, executive vice president and general counsel, American Council of Life Insurers; Catherine Weatherford, president and CEO, NAVA, the Association for Insured Retirement Solutions; and Cliff Wilson, Southeast Arizona Insurance Services on behalf of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
